Grid Painting
This painting was created using primary and secondary colors. The students chose a simple object to draw (the positive space), then drew a 1 inch grid over the entire paper. This broke up the object in a new way. The positive space was filled in with primary colors, planning so that the squares neighboring each other wouldn't be the same color. The students then mixed their own secondary colors, filling the negative space in the same way.
